Where a case study is relevant this can be a physical / hybrid or virtual event. The event must have taken place between January 1st 2023 and January 24th 2024. Entries are open to companies internationally.

Judges want to hear from those who are already utilising the Metaverse and have held successful events whether that’s in a fully virtual or hybrid format. They also want to hear from platform creators who have designed their virtual platforms to enhance the overall event experience and have successfully worked with organisers to deliver an event fully or part within the Metaverse.

The winner will be selected based on the ability to demonstrate mid to long-term event technology strategies to achieve the business vision, mission and to exploit innovation to their advantage. The ability to manage procurement, piloting and validation of new technologies, processes and systems to support event technology strategy, and advocate on how those technologies are used and aligned to events is at the heart of the winner of this category.
